Mountkenya camping is the best way to do it,one fills private and flexible. There are huts but they are in bunk houses where one room can accomodate more than 40 people.we provide tents that fit any weather condition in the mountain, with their sleep pads(air).we need to carry them with us when climbing the mountain, therefore i highly recommend camping than sleeping in bunk houses.

Starting price usd450-590 depending on the number of people.

The sirimon route is a few kilometers drive from nanyuki town,it is considered as one of the easiest route and the most popular one to climb up mountkenya, the entry gate to sirimon gate is 2650m,this is where one pays the park fees, from the gate to the base hut on this route is 21kms,one can drive from the sirimon gate to the oldmoses camp 3300m.The forest in this route is relatively dense with bamboo forest, and  has wildlife in it,the second day is alpine in nature and the surrounding peaks can be seen from the 3750m,plant covering this route are the giant ground sel and the giant lobellias,

The route is not considered as a technical climb but due to the loose scree and some steep rocks one can used the hand support, due to high altitude walking, sometimes it is covered with ice and glacier,we have the only remaining lewis glacier in mountkenya.
