Day-by-Day Itinerary
Depart Nairobi at 07:00 and drive north through the Kenyan highlands, descending into the arid landscape of Samburu (approx. 5 hours). Arrive for lunch at your lodge. Afternoon game drive (16:00-18:30) in search of the Samburu Special Five(lion, cheetah and leopard). Samburu is famous for its truly wild semi-arid landscape, and the large concentration of wild animals and bird-life. Together with the adjoining Shaba and Buffalo Springs national reserves, Samburu is popular for hosting the rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich) which are not found in the other popular parks and reserves in Kenya.Overnight at samburu lodge:
Activities
Full day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. We focus on the Ewaso Ng'iro River where elephants and crocodiles gather. Packed lunch for full-day excursion. Return to lodge for dinner.

Final morning game drive (06:00-09:00). Return for breakfast, then drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon.
