David recommended the Chogoria route as the most scenic ascent and he was absolutely right — lakes, waterfalls, dramatic gorges and wildlife around every corner. The team handled logistics, permits and meals flawlessly so all we had to do was walk and take photos. World-class guiding.

We're casual hikers, not mountaineers, and the Sirimon route with Mountkenya Hikes was the perfect introduction to high altitude trekking. Gradual ascent, well-paced acclimatisation, warm tents, hot meals and a guide who never let us feel out of our depth. We will be back for Kilimanjaro.
