Day 1: Nairobi/Nanyuki/Old Moses 2650m-3300m 3hrs 9kms

We leave Nairobi at 8 am to the vast green highland of tea and coffee towns, namely karatina surrounding mountkenya for lunch, taking about 4 hours to Nanyuki town, the last town on this route of mountkenya hike. Then proceed to the Sirimon Gate, 1 hour at 2650m. From the gate follow the track as it winds uphill through the forest which becomes heath land after about 3 hrs. About 3½ hours from the sirimon gate the track veers right to Judmier Camp at 3300m.(NB.walking on the 1st day makes the best acclimatization,)where we have dinner and spend the night at oldmoses camp:https://www.facebook.com/558269420875360/videos/331112710981426/
