About this trip

This two-week circuit links a Chogoria-to-Sirimon Mount Kenya trek with Ol Pejeta, the Aberdare highlands, Lake Naivasha and the Maasai Mara. It is the broadest Kenya route in this collection, with mountain camping, wildlife drives, a highland walk and a final Mara safari.

The trip includes long road transfers and a high-altitude summit attempt. Aberdare access, Ole-Satima walking conditions, Hell's Gate bicycle hire, Naivasha activities and Mara fees must be confirmed for your dates. Wildlife sightings and the Point Lenana summit are not guaranteed.

The Mount Kenya summit section is usually best in drier windows; Aberdare weather and safari conditions still vary by date.

Day 1

Nairobi to mtkenya bandas camp-7km hike

Drive from nairobi to the Mount Kenya region on the eastern side of the country,bordering the green tea and coffee regions of embu and meru towns,where the lunch will be in chogoria town, and meeting with the crews after drive to the forested part on the 1st forest zone for formalities and start walking from 2500m acclimatization to chogoria bandas camp

Day 2 · up to 3350 m

Meru mtkenya Camp to Road head camp(3400 m)

with a good breakfast view and Mount Kenya a head and a very smooth burning morning sunrise,start the day probably seeing the small fearless colubus and sike monkeys that wakes you up with loud playing noises and ready to snatch your breakfast. leave the 1st camp for 12km day hike through the green logged tropical rainforest,and moorland,and trek towards roadhead camp and in the evening,tour at nithi waterfall which is 170m deep,climb though the traverse of lake Ellis and back to road head camp for dinner.

Day 3 · up to 4250 m

Road head camp to Minto`s Camp via gorges valley. ( 4,250m) .

Early morning strong breakfast,to ascending the beautiful part of Mount Kenya,trekking along the gorges deep valley,Vivian waterfall,giant flowering Heather plants,small beautiful mountain birds can be heard,the long ascent 14km climb is majestic,magnificent,breathtaking and scenic having no word to express.with the gorges valley getting deeper with time and the camp above the gorgeous rocks above,with a two lake surrounding,dinner always gets ready at 6:00,for an early night sleep at Mintos camp for next day point lenana summit climb

Day 4

Minto`s - Lenana peak summits 4980m 4 hrs, 17km, 1200m descent to Old Moses camp

pre-dawn wake where the cook sam prepares hot stuff,for warm up,it's 3:00 the guides knocks the tent and asks every one to be ready for the tough,strenuous climb in some points where you use your freezing hands,and legs struggles due to loose rocks,with headlights on stunning star like views,further a head are some peaks that you can't barely see unless the moonlight is out,it's 5:30 and the mind want to make up the ascent but the body is tired,the guide juma tells you climb slowly and safe we have thirty minutes to get there,with an elevation altitude of 4987m you see yourself climbing the last ladder point and via ferratta,and a few seconds screaming hugging and happy having conquered the highest African summit of Mount Kenya,with a clear technical batian,nelion peaks view,sunrise is out by 6:25 and the time to drop down comes,and hour and a half to Shipton camp 4200m for a strong breakfast,after descend down the sirimon route via the mackinders valley,with the flowering giants Heather's,lobelia,and it's species,down to the likii river flowing sound,to the Old Moses camp 3300m ahead for an overnight.

Day 5

Old Moses camp – Transfer to Nanyuki hotel

with a gentle north western route,after Mount Kenya hikes trek through the moorland and the tropical forest haggenia trees,down to the sirimon gate and perhaps wildlife meetings and seeing finish the trek with a joy in the face.have the car waiting to transfer you to the next destination of nanyuki hotel for the next day Ol Pejeta wildlife conservancy

Day 6

Glacier hotel nanyuki to Ol Pejeta conservancy

After an early breakfast pickup from Glacier hotel nanyuki and drive to the Ol Pejeta day tour where critically endangered northern white rhino are accommodated, spend the full day in the conservancy where there is high opportunities to see the big 5,the Ol Pejeta is the home of the sweetwater chimpanzee sanctuary where they are habitat in the safe environment,our unique game drives is into every corner with our skilled guide,with filled with adventures stories and after a full day in the most visited and protected park return back to the Glacier hotel for accomodation.

Day 7

aberdares National Park gamedrives and trekking

pick up in Nanyuki glacier hotel to the aberdares,where it's famous for the stunning high altitude waterfalls,rich wildlife and historical roya connections "queens Elizabeth life" Entrance through kiandongoro gate drive to fishing lodge or reedbuck camp 3km

Aberdares national park game drive,and trekking ole-satima peak

Drive to ole satima junction via chania Falls,to thegu river camp hike to one satima peak 4771m for 20km to and back then pick the car to reed buck camp, animals you can see.on the road are elephants,black leopard,bufalloes,antelope and water bucks

Day 9

after breakfast start the hike from reedbuck camp to kalulu water fall for 7km and the evening is spent, for a visit at the queens cave "Queen Elizabeth II: The park is world-famous as the site where Princess Elizabeth learned of her father's death and became Queen in 1952 while staying at the iconic Treetops Hotel" and magura falls,and back to the camp for the rest of the night

Day 10

Aberdares national park to naivasha lake area

after 4 days of the aberdare game drive adventures and exploration with an exceptional place and extraordinary beauty and scale with dense cloud forest that covers the high peaks, creating a landscape that feels primordial and untouched Leave The camp with game drives through mutubio gate driving through the park for 33km and connecting to Lake Naivasha where Hell's Gate bike riding welcomes the next day.

Day 11

Naivasha Hell's Gate bike riding-park

Hell's Gate National Park is famous for allowing visitors to walk and cycle freely past wild animals because it has no large predatory carnivores Biking and Walking Safaris: You can rent a bicycle and pedal right past zebras, giraffes, and gazelles after drive back to the in the evening back to the camp.

Day 12

Naivasha to maasai mara wildlife eco system

Leave the lake naivasha region after breakfast to maasai mara national park,where the park is a vast, unfenced expanse of golden savannah in southwestern Kenya that forms the northern heart of the famous Serengeti-Mara ecosystem with lunch on the way,in a simple way to describe it as Kenya's most famous wildlife savannah, featuring golden plains, abundant predators, and the dramatic Great Migration between July and October,with an evening game drive dinner at the camp

Full day maasai mara game viewing reserve

Visitor category, vehicle charges and optional experiences affect the total; confirm whether entry is included. Maasai Mara entry rates and accommodation vary by season, residency and conservancy.
