Travel from Arusha into the Serengeti for two days of game drives, then continue to the Ngorongoro highlands for a crater-rim overnight and a final crater-floor drive. The route uses tented public camps, a safari vehicle and a guide; meals and park charges are listed on the linked tour.
Wildlife is never guaranteed, and the Great Migration moves with rainfall. Crater access is subject to park rules, road and vehicle access. International flights, visa requirements and insurance depend on your nationality and are not assumed included.
Resident wildlife is present year-round. Migration location varies; the guide chooses the route and camps around travel dates.

Day 1
Depart Arusha early, driving through the Ngorongoro Highlands and descending into the Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate. Afternoon game drive through the Central Serengeti's Seronera Valley, famous for its resident lion prides and leopards. Camp at Seronera.

Day 2
Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Your guide will track migration herds seasonally, locate big cats at the kopje rocks, and seek out cheetah on the open plains. Picnic lunch in the bush. Evening campfire under a vast star-filled sky.

Day 3 · up to 2286 m
Morning game drive before departing the Serengeti. Drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the crater rim by afternoon. Watch the sun set over the caldera from the rim. Camp at Simba Campsite at 2,286m.

Day 4 · up to 1700 m
Descend at dawn to the crater floor for a 5-6 hour game drive. Explore grasslands, swamps, and Lake Magadi for Big Five encounters and flamingos. Search for the endangered black rhino. Picnic lunch on the crater floor. Ascend and drive back to Arusha.
