Overview

The 7-day Rongai Route is highly recommended as one of the best ways to climb Mount Kilimanjaro because it offers a gradual slope, excellent acclimatization, and a high success rate. It is the only trail that approaches the mountain from the dry, northern side near the Kenyan border however secluded experience with excellent chances of spotting wildlife. It then crosses the saddle and descends via the Marangu Route on the south side, giving you varied views of the peak.Because the northern side receives less rain, it is also the ideal route if you are climbing during the wetter months,offers chances to see the dramatic Mawenzi Tarn camp beneath sheer Mawenzi cliffs.
