6-Day Kilimanjaro-machame route

Drive from moshi to machame gate on the southern side of machame,with a completion of park formalities from the crew and guides,trail walking through the lush,dense,montaine forest,huge trees hanging moss,of hard wood trees,columbus sounds maybe seen and heard,through the canopied forest,The steady climbing,and altitude gaining,gradualy makes the forest thicken,the machame camp 2835m where no trees are found dinner and overnight in the machame camp.

After breakfast hike thorugh the trail climbing Kilimanjaro heath and moorland zone ,with a relatively quick dramatic zones,and flowering plants like giant heathers and proteas to the rocky terraine,across a distinctive rocky ridge to undulating shira plateau,one of the remnants of Kilimanjaro "3" ancients volcanoes landscapes on the entire mountain:Camping will be at Shira camp.

with a classic Kilimanjaro climb-"climb high,sleep low" climb diligently and carefully across the shira plateau and towards the lava tower 4630m-with a dramatic rock formation sorounding the alpine desert,from lava tower start descending again while acclimatizing without straining to baranco wall valley,where giant scenacio and lobelia plants starts to grow again due to noticeable drop in altitude,Arrive at baranco camp 3960m where w sleep on this day.

This day being the longest and pre-summit day we climb through the baranco wall 4250m with a steep scree and scrambling up to the tough face of the valley,with a steady pace tackle the valley gently by crossing through the karanga valley,with kibo peak nearing to our presence,continue climbing further to barafu camp or olso the ice camp 4673m and on this day eat well,get preparation for the next day summit attempt.

This the day as to why Kilimnjaro climbing had to be Done-The summit attempt begins midnight with head torches on,screeing through the dark describing the pace as in Swahili word "pole Pole" allowing the body to cope with the thining air as you climb steadily,continue to stella point 5776m on the crater rim,with the sunrise ahead,this creates an emotional moment,with the sky over Africa and the entire african world below you,with an hour to the main summit "uhuru peak" 5895m where you will celebrate being on the highest point on the african continent. After celebration to the summit and photographing,begin the long descent trek to mweka camp,with nearly a descent of 2800m from uhuru peak to mweka camp for an overnight

The final day from the mountain begins with descent through the lush forest,with vegetation thickening and the air warming noticeably,arrive at mweka gate where you will be presented with your summit certificates for recognition,and after your driver will transfer you back to Moshi,having completed your 6 days Kilimanjaro machame route trek to a close.
